A diary from Kos by the Icelandic team

Despite a rough start to the trip, a delayed flight, and an unexpected night in Germany, we can honestly say that the trip to Kos is the most amazing school trip we’ve ever been on. Each day offered new adventures in an awesome environment, awesome weather with awesome people. The first day was a little hard for the Icelandic team as we had little sleep the night before due to flight complications and then arrived straight from the airport and to the school where the program had already begun.

On this first day the groups presented their countries to the whole were group and then we were divided into small groups where we talked about the various issues related to our project. On Tuesday we visited the volcanic island of Nisyros. The Island had a very cute Mamma Mia vibe, and we really enjoyed the time we spent there. We took a lot of pictures to show our friends and family the beautiful nature that surrounded us there. On both Wednesday and Thursday, we spent most of our time at the school working in our groups. For example, we did some programming, presentations and had some interesting discussions.

Friday was the last official day we had together and that was without a doubt our favourite day. We all played different sports together all morning and participated in all kinds of competitions. We of course had a lot of free time and us from the Icelandic team went to the beach a lot because we don’t really see the sun a lot over here in Iceland. We usually met up in the evening too and walked around town and had some amazing food. Overall we thought this trip was incredible. If we could go back and do it all over again we would all do it in a heartbeat. Thank you, Kos, for this amazing experience and we all agree that we will definitely come back and visit the island in the future!
