Iceland team on Icelandic meeting!

A weekend in late February all the participants of the DCeS project arrived in Iceland. The weather was not ideal,  roads were closed and people were stuck at the airport. On Sunday, those who had arrived, went to Perlan and swimming. In the evening everyone gathered at Hildur‘s house for a pizza party, which was a great way for everyone to get to know each other.

On Monday everyone presented their schools and presentation on the topic of cyber bullying an then we had different types of workshops and school. In the evening the weather was even worse and a handful of the kids went to the shopping mall before everyone went home to have a chill night.

On Tuesday we had more workshops in the morning and in the afternoon we went into the city and got to see some landmarks in  Reykjavik. In the evening everyone went bowling and had dinner at Shake and Pizza.

On Wednesday we went on the Golden Circle where we saw Gullfoss, Geysir and Þingvellir. We had lunch at Friðheimar. In the evening we had some free time. Some people went swimming and others had a chill evening.

On Thursday we had another workshop in the morning and in the afternoon everyone went to the Blue Lagoon. There we were really lucky and had great weather. In the evening we met up at school and had a great time together.

On Friday everyone presented their T-shirt which they had made earlier that week. In the afternoon a handful of the kids went ice skating. In the evening we met at school again for a farewell dinner.

Then the trip went very well and everyone learned a lot about cyber bullying and what to do when someone encounters that. Sadly the trip had to end though and by Saturday everyone were on their way home.
